Welcome to our home. The Brenham House was built in the 1920’s on the foundation of what was the first German Lutheran Church of Brenham. Unfortunately, the church was destroyed during the great storm of the 1900’s, leaving the sturdy lime stone steps behind – steps that continue to greet visitors today.

Fall Dinner Party at The Brenham House
Fall Party at The Brenham House!
It is always fun to host a party. Coming up with the table design is the most exciting.
I used my gold chargers with party glassware.
The wine goblets are from the famous Warrick Hotel, of Houston. A great find when they tore the hotel down. It is fun to think of what star may have used the glasses, back in the day!
I made pralines and wrapped each of
them in a clear bag and tied them
with gold and green leaves.
I placed them in the center of the plates,
to add a more festive look.
It also gives the guests a party favor to take home with them.
Two raised flower arrangements and glass pumpkins around the base if each. Add a few doilies, in the shape of leaves, and this completes the fall look!
The menu for the evening:
Drinks and Dip, Chips, Crackers
King Ranch Casserole
Salad with Balsamic Dressing
Pineapple Cake with Cream Cheese and Pecan icing and of course
Blue Bell Ice Cream
Always have plenty of adult beverages and remember to have some type of water.
Spa water is a take on the water you get when you go to a spa. Cucumber water usually comes to mind, but you can use almost any fruit, mint, lemon balm, lavender, or rosemary.
This evening I used oranges and mint!
Hope you enjoy the cooler Fall weather and get together with your friends!
