Built in 1939 Art Deco Style

Located in the center of the Historical Square

Simon Theatre

Simon Theatre
109 W. Main Street

Designed by architect Alfred C. Finn.  It represents early 20th century, classic revival.  In its day it was very plush ,with the most modern equipment and features. It could seat 739 people.

Now going through renovations, it is a real labor of love.  A hugh investment for our town, to restore this lovely building with so much history.  It will be Brenham's Convention Center with the second floor for wedding receptions and other events.  The Visitor's Center will be located in the building, also.  This will draw more people into the Chamber because it will be located on the Square.  We will keep a watch on the building as it transforms in to a beautiful princess!
Of course, more donations are needed so feel free to send that money!

Volare Restaurant

Volare Italian Restaurant

Located just a few blocks from us, and just 2 blocks off the Square.  It is a wonderful Italian Restaurant that serves authentic Italian and Mediterranean recipes.  They serve fresh bread, pasta, veal, chicken, seafood, and desserts.  Wonderful ambiance.  Open Tues.-Sat.

**Worth the trip if you are just driving in from Houston to eat at Volare!

I will just keep on walking.... there is so much to see!

It has played an important part in

the construction of our town.  This is

the mural that is painted on the side

of their building.  Yes, this landmark

is on the same street as The Brenham

House Bed and Breakfast is on!  We

cherish that they have remained in the Historic District and not moved off to the interstate.
