Here it is as requested by our guests!
Brenham House Pecan Pie Bars
1 yellow cake mix (reserve 2/3 c. for topping)
1 stick of butter, melted
1 egg
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a 13x9 inch baking dish.
Mix the crust, by combining the first three ingredients.  Reserve 2/3 c. of the cake mix.
Spread the mixture in the bottom of the baking dish.  Bake until crust is light brown.
(I'm not sure how long.  I have never timed it because I can watch it while I am making the second part.)
