175 Anniversary of the Signing of the Texas Declaration of Independence

There will be so many events going on for this Texas Celebration!

Feb. 26-27, 2011 at Washington-on-the-Brazos State Historic Park.
10-5:00 P.M. each day
Costume re-enactors and members of the Texas Army, along withskilled craftsmen and talented musicians, statesmen of the era, such as Sam Houston, Stephen f. Austin, and Anson Jones, will be on hand to explain to visitors the importance of Texas Independence 

Texian Army day to day life interpretations,
Anson Jones' kitchen in use,
Lott's Tavern reenactment,
Small arms and artillery firing demonstration,
Historic crafts demonstrations, craft vendors,
Musicians,
Recreation of key moments that occurred during the Independence Convention,

Sunday, U. S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison, a direct decendant of the Texa Declaration of Independence signer charles Taylor, will be the keynote speaker.

Tom and Jane Bullock
Sam Houston IV
 and descendants of the 59 signers
The reading of the Texas Declaration Of Independence by charles and Fanny Normann.
A Texas sized Birthday Cake will be served!
