1800's Gas Parlor Chandelier at The Brenham House

This is the chandelier in the stairwell at The Brenham House!

It is a lovely fixture that dates back to the late 1800's.
It is a Victorian Parlor gas chandelier that burned kerosene.   The kerosene was stored in the brass base of the lamp.  It has a chimney and at the top is a smoke bell of opal glass used to snuff out the lamp.
It has an opal glass domed shade and crystals to refract the light.  It has been electrically wired and is such a reminder of our history.
